Our Purpose ~
The purpose for Bungoma Bible School is derived from Ephesians 4:11-12. Which is to equip men and women for ministry. We purpose to train up people to better fulfill their place in the local church, to equip them to fulfill their destiny, and also to answer the call of God to impact the nations for Christ. The harvest is truly plenty but the laborers are few.
Vision Statement ~
Raise up: to call out, or make known, help them discover their life’s calling.
Train: to provide support, encouragement, and transformation and the skills needed to achieve their desires and dreams, through the Word of God.
Release: to send out equipped, and trained ministers
Vision Values ~
Alongside this purpose which articulates who we are, we have identified our core values as a Bible School, which highlights clearly what it is that makes BBS distinctive. These values breathe life into the vision and sustain the quality and security of the vision.
Value God’s Word – We believe that the entire Bible is the “inspired” Word of God, the authoritative and trustworthy rule of faith and practice for all Christians.
Value God’s Manifested Presence – To enjoy God’s presence is our passion as a church. We believe there is a presence of God available to God’s people as they follow the pattern of worship as seen in Psalms 22:3.
Value Holy Spirit Activity – Both in our personal and corporate life as believers, we welcome the moving of the Holy Spirit. The baptism of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit are a part of our basic belief system.
Value Dynamic Spontaneous Praise and Worship – The Believer’s response to God’s presence may be seen in the energetic worship, The Church is challenged by God’s Word to worship Him in Spirit and Truth. (Jn.4:24). Without yielding to “trends” or “commercialization”, care is taken to be sensitive to the moving of the Spirit in order that God’s people might enter into His very presence. Through true intimate Worship, God is pleased and the fruit of True Worship (Warfare, physical and spiritual healing and changed lives) is manifest.
Value The Holiness of God – Holiness is not legalism that is measured by outward look, but a true cleansing of the Believer through God’s Word and by the power of the Holy Spirit that is evidenced in Christian conduct and character. “We will know them by their fruit”.
Value Fervent Prayer – “Prayer has a voice”. The voice of prayer is heard as we pray together in our prayer times. The Principles of prayer and fasting are believed to be the “power-house weapon” that God has given to the church to fulfill His will in this hour, enabling us to become all that He desires us to become and achieve and He has called to achieve.
Value Excellence – We believe that God deserves the best we have to offer; Therefore we seek to maintain a high quality of excellence in everything connected and related to the work of the ministry.
Value Integrity – There is no substitute for excellence in character. We hold this value in highest esteem and filter all other values through this one. Up-rightness, trustworthiness, and transparency are our best foundation stones.
Value Kingdom of God – Our goal is to impact our communities, cities and culture with the message of the kingdom of God… We are to be salt and light to our world. We are to penetrate the political, social, educational and spiritual realms with and by God’s Spirit and His Word. Bungoma Bible School is a place to train men and women to realize this.
